Get Everyday Active and fight the autumn blues

The Autumn / Winter Everyday Active programme is packed full of brand new activity and craft courses for adults, with something on offer for all abilities.

Pilates in RickmansworthResidents who fancy bringing out their creative side over the winter months can try life drawing, water colour painting, or textiles. As well as regular pottery workshops in South Oxhey there is now a new class in Abbots Langley, as well as a unique Japanese pottery course in Chorleywood.

Residents who have been inspired by 'Strictly' can come dancing down to our ballroom dancing class in Rickmansworth. Or, those who are feeling sporty can give our tennis, Pilates and badminton classes a go. Residents can also learn to sail at the Aquadrome, get back on a trampoline in Chorleywood or wind down with a refreshing Tai Chi class in Croxley Green.

EverydayActivePortfolio Holder for Leisure and Community, Cllr Chris Whately-Smith, says:
"The Everyday Active programme has proved very popular with residents and we are delighted to be offering even more new exciting activities this autumn. It is often more difficult to stay active and healthy during the colder months, so why not take up an old hobby or try something new? There really is something for everybody in the new Everyday Active brochure; take a look."

The Everyday Active programme, which is subsidised by Three Rivers District Council and the Extended Schools Consortia in Rickmansworth and Abbots Langley, represents excellent value for money with courses from as little as £4 per week. Courses run from 12 October 2009 to 13 March 2010.

For more information or to book on to a course, residents can ring Three Rivers District Council on 01923 776611 or visit www.iGetEverydayActive.co.uk.
