It's Childrens Nature Week!

Get your wellies and glue sticks at the ready this February half term as the hugely popular Children's Nature Week returns to Three Rivers, with brand new, exciting activities to keep young residents amused.

Now in its fifth year, the annual week of nature-themed events is organised by Three Rivers District Council in partnership with other local organisations and groups. Most of the activities are free, so read on for details of what's on offer from 16-20 February.

Bird BoxThis year's events include the hands-on Reptile Roadshow, where youngsters will have the chance to get up close and personal with members of the Reptile Kingdom. There will be nature arts and crafts sessions on offer too, as well as bird-box building, fun days at the Batchworth Lock Centre and Three Rivers Museum along with a guided wildlife wander with Watford Piscators.

Residents can visit www.threerivers.gov.uk to download details of what's on, or contact the Leisure department on 01923 779392 for a leaflet. Many events must be booked in advance and spaces are limited, so residents are advised to act quickly to avoid disappointment. Unless otherwise stated, events are open to children under 13 and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Enchanted CraftsChildren's Nature Week has been organised by Three Rivers District Council in partnership with Hertfordshire Libraries, Three Rivers Museum of Local History, Friends of Watersmeet Film Society, Batchworth Lock Centre, RES Kings Langley, and Watford Piscators.
