Fight the autumn blues, stay Everyday Active

Children in Three Rivers can dive into October half term with lots to look forward to, thanks to the free activities on offer from Three Rivers District Council.  Free swimming and gym sessions will be available throughout the week-long holiday, giving local youngsters a fun way to keep active and healthy.

Half term activities in RickmansworthPortfolio Holder for Leisure and Community, Cllr Chris Whately-Smith, said:
"These schemes went down really well with local children over the summer holidays, so we are delighted to be able to offer them again in the autumn half term. The more unpredictable weather means youngsters may prefer to take part in more indoor activities; we hope these free sessions will ensure there is something for all local children to enjoy."

Free swim sessions will be on offer at Sir James Altham Swimming Pool in South Oxhey between Monday 27 October to Friday 31 October.  Free gym sessions will be running between the same dates at The Centre (South Oxhey), William Penn Leisure Centre (Mill End), Charters Health Club Woodlands (Abbots Langley) and Charters Health Club (Watford).

For full details of the scheme residents can ring the Leisure department at Three Rivers District Council on 01923 779392, or visit www.threerivers.gov.uk.
